Tematyka warsztatów Ensambles skupi się wykorzystaniu drewna w architekturze i designie. W programie zarówno część teoretyczna jak i praktyczna, a w tym ćwiczenia "Replicating a typical wood joint" i "Design a variation of a typical wood". Warsztaty odbywać będą się w języku angielskim.
Warsztaty odbywać będą się w dniach 17 - 19 maja 2019 roku w Warszawie. Udział w wydarzeniu jest płatny. Bilety w cenie 195 euro dla studentów / 250 euro dla profesjonalistów w terminie do 25 kwietnia 2019 roku. Później w cenie 220 euro studenci i 300 euro profesjonaliści. Termin przyjmowania zgłoszeń upływa 12 maja 2019 roku.
Opis organizatora:
Wooden joints system are the basic elements of architectural and industrial design. For centuries carpenters all around the world have developed a well-performing and beautiful solution to join two or more pieces of timber. The beauty of the joints comes from its function and mechanism. The genius of the timeless solution is returning, inviting us to explore an ancient language of design. From today’s perspective, wooden joints should be considered as an excellent example of cradle to cradle design and durability.
The aim of the workshop is to familiarize with the traditional wooden joint from Europe, Mexico and Japan and learn how do they perform. In the first step, participants will work with material and tools to reproduce the most popular joints. The next step is to, by the means of digital tools and parametric tools, design a new set of joints.
